Holder of a DUT in applied biology, I was recruited at the UMR181 INRA/ENVT (Toulouse) in 2001. In 2003, I joined the UMR1318 (Versailles) to work first on the mechanisms of post-transcriptional regulation, and then on cellulose biosynthesis during the cell elongation, both in Arabidospsis thaliana. I then joined the LIPME in 2011, to participate in biochemical studies on plant receptors microbial symbiotic signals. Since 2021, I have joined Benoit Lefebvre's group to work on the efficacy of arbuscular mycorrhiza.

Margot Trinquier

For 50% of my time, I develop and implement various molecular biology and protein biochemistry approaches (transient expression in N. benthamiana via A. tumefaciens, recombinant protein production in E. coli, protein purification on affinity resins, immunoblot analysis…) dedicated to the biochemical characterization of protein-protein or receptor-ligand interactions, for different RLK (receptor like kinase) membrane receptors, from different host plants. The aim of this work is the functional characterization of these receptors involved in symbiosis and/or immunity.

I am also in charge of scientific mediation for the unit, and the unit's radiation protection officer.


I was recruited as a research engineer at the CNRS in December 2001. After working 12 years at the Evolution and Biological Diversity Laboratory (EDB, now CRBE) in Toulouse, I validated the Professional Master Microbiological Diagnosis Innovative Approaches of Toulouse III and taught biology in high school, on secondment, for 2 years.

David Landry

After completing a specialized master's degree in plant biology, I was recruited as a research engineer at the LIPME, under the supervision of Nemo Peeters (RAP team) and Laurent Deslandes (REACH team). My work aimed to clone different integrated domains (IDs) in plant immune receptors (NLRs) and assess their ability to interact with effectors from the model bacterium Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum. Then, I was granted with a doctoral funding and I studied a bacterial effector, RipAA, and its role in the processes of virulence and/or resistance in the model plant Nicotiana benthamiana. After my PhD, I was hired by HM Clause (Limagrain group) as a phytopathologist project leader specializing in plants of the Solanaceae family. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the EFIS team led by Benoit Lefebvre. My current research project aims to characterize the function of two proteins identified through a froward genetic screen, crucial for establishing Nod-independent symbiosis between Aeschynomene evenia and its symbiont Bradyrhizobium.
